Milosav Pavlovic was born in Vrbas in 1954. He began his primary education near Vrnjacka
Banja and finished it in Vrbas, as well as his secondary education. Until now, as a member, he
exibited at almost all of the Society of Visual Art Artists` exibitions since its founding in 1980
and many other places all over Vojvodina.
He organized one-man exibitions in Vrbas, Novi Sad, Subotica, Apatin, Srbobran, Backa
Topola, Kula and Becej.
He is a regular pariticipant in visual arts colonies and charity activities. He received several
awards amoung which the first prize at annual muster of visual arts` creators of Vojvodina in
2006. stands out.

Milosav Pavlovic is something in between an icon painter and
modern painter. He sees the
voice of tradition in icons, his deepest religious, national
and artistic tradition; he sees its living,
exciting and inspiring strength; he sees the part of his
personal and colective identity.
There is the frame for each icon, a limit toward the outer world. It can only be an edge or a line

conects his subconsciousness between the
icon and outer world, while the midworld is an integral,
border part of the icon. That midworld
with Pavlovic has particular significance and value, this is
where another Pavlovic's gift stands
out-engraving and working with small pieces of plastic.

Милосав Павловић је негдје између иконописца и модерног сликара. Он у икони види
глас традиције, своје најдубље вјерске, националне и умјетничке традиције; види њену
живу, узбуђујућу и инспиративну снагу; види дио сопственог личног и колективног
идентитета.
Свака икона има неки свој оквир, неку границу према спољном свјету. То може бити
само ивица или линија, а код Павловића је прави оквир. Умјетник успоставља своју
међусвијест између иконе и спољнег свијета, при чему је тај међусвијет саставни,
гранични део иконе. Тај међусвијет у Павловића има нарочит значај и особиту вриједност,
ту је дошло до израза и други Павловићев дар склоности ка дуборезу и ситној пластици.
